WOODSTOCK'S FESTIVAL
This photo represents
the Woodstock’s Festival and was taken in 1969 by Baron Wolman. The 1969
Woodstock festival remains one of the most iconic events in music history. It
was an intense time where there many wars, like the war in Vietnam. People were
tired of so many wars so that festival was a time of tranquility and joy where
people had good music, drugs, freedom and also not very good things like mud,
burned eyeballs, traffic jams, and overflowing toilets. This festival lasted
four days. I really like it because I think that people didn’t have much time
for feeling happiness because the world (in general) was in constant conflict and
if I put myself in the place of them, I would like to be in a space like that
and I would like to feel free. In that festival people enjoyed the freedom,
they bathed themselves there and they didn’t have any problem of showing themselves
naked in front of everybody. Woodstock had some problems. One of the days it
rained very hard and that’s why it lasted up to four days (At first it was
three day festival). The rain wasn’t an impediment to continue enjoying. Of
course, in the same point the production had to take precautions (take care of
lights, instruments, etc) while the people took time to eat (there had common
pots) or simply smoke, consume drugs, take a quick wash, etc. Overall, People lived
a great moment.
