Thomas Griggs



Thomas Griggs is a Public administrator and political scientist He is my teacher at University. He teaches me all related with dynamics of the Chilean public administration: how during the History of our Country the way of being responsable for managing has changed. I admire him a lot because He has a true vocation for public service and I've noticed for the way in how he speaks in class and reads articles that he has published.

¿How  is it evident that he is a true expert? For example, He has an important position at Universidad central, He is Director of the “Dirección de aseguramiento de la calidad” (DAC) at the same university, and He managed with his work team  the accreditation of eight majors in the university. Also, He is the author of many articles like “El Aseguramiento de la Calidad de la Educación Superior Nº 21 2004”, “Políticas Públicas para la Educación Superior Nº 22 2005”, “Planes especiales de titulación en Chile”. “Descripción de la oferta académica”. At the the Universidad de Chile He collaborated in  the comisión of “Plan de Desarrollo Institucional”, which guards the commitment of strategic objetives of it. In summary, he is a person to be admired.

My full name is Michelle Carolina Prieto Astorga, but you can call me Michi, it's so much better and simple. I was born in Santiago, Chile, nineteen years ago on August 23th. My future job

Since I was a child I have always enjoyed cooking, baking cakes, preparing recipes, creating recipes, etc. and at some point in my life I came to think that I would study gastronomy and be a chef, but nowadays things are very different. I'm studying to become a Public Administrator, because I found that my major had everything I liked in my high school. I was very undecided, I didn't know whether to work in something related to history, law, social sciences, sociology, psychology, in short, I had a real mental chaos. Fortunately my major has it all and more, some sociology, economics, law, political science, history and various fields of study, which I like quite a lot. I don't see myself working on anything else because I'm happy with what I'm going to do in the future.
